...as for me, i will be sittin' in a van on my way to Ardmore PA (Philly basically) for the 3rd show of my current tour, at Milkboy with Scott Simons & local PA popster Lucas Carpenter...(tonight, 8pm, All Ages)
..as i mentioned before i'm touring as a two-piece this go 'round with my ol' pal Joe Seiders (Everyday Visuals/Juliana Hatfield), he came out to LA and we rehearsed some songs that I haven't played live in a whiLez..as well as some brand spankin' new tunes...Joe's on drums, accordian, and/or glockenspeil (and vox of course)...it might even rock a little(?)..
PHILLY, Burke VA (DC Basically), NYC, Cincinnati, Nashville, Morgantown WV, DC, NJ, BOSTON...i am coming your way in just a few days...please see tour dates beloOow..
..i'll also be trying out my first ever Ustream this Friday from the Cubeta Place house concert...it might go hoRribly wrong..we're lookin' at Vegas odds here...but somebody's gotta win sOmetime..(?)..

...lastly...SXSW...what a bLasst....re-connected with some old friends (Tetslaff!!), made some new ones...played a few shows...and partied a bit too... i've posted some pics online on my Facebook (freakin' Creed Bratton opened for me!), and i'm waiting on a DVD that's coming my way from a friend (he took HD video for me)...when i get that i'll post a couple vids..(got a little write-up in Metromix too, page 3)..

...in the meantime, you gotta check out this recording studio..'bout an hour outside of Austin, Pozo Hondo Studio, i spent the sunday after SXSW there hangin' with some new friends including Josh Moore (who produced one of my favorite records of last year..Derek Webb's "Stockholm Syndrome") and let's just say..every musician would cream their pants to record there (btw, more people should use the phrase "cream their pants")...we ate, sat by a fire pit and star-gazed (you can actually see 'em there), and told ghost stories (the place is hauNted...for reaL)..zip-lined....'twas rad..

..today i'm debuting my brand spankin' new music video for "No Such Thing As Love," from A WATCHED POT (yup, she's a boilin')...this bee-uoo-tiful video was master-mined, planned, scouted, casted, photographed & directed by my good friend in LA David J Dowling (orrr...as i like to call'im DoubleD)...he's a true-blue Boston boy..so..ya know he's good right...

...DD has been photog-ing my shows in LA for a few years now, press shots too...he's veRy talented. we decided to take our relationship to the next level (getcher mind out the gutter)...a video filled with..well, pretty girls (turns out Dave knows a lot of 'em)...well, this video is all Dave, i just showed up and did what he told me to do... he conceptualized the story, found locations, color-coordinated...shot..edited...all that jazz...and i gotta say, i think he's gone and made a pretty dern amazing looking (feeling?) music video...i'm unworthy.... i hope you like it...watch...share...sing-a-long...and if ya really are inspired...tweet it out...

..in other veRy exciting news, i am playing SXSW (they actually invited me...i thought maybe they were confusing me with Corbin Bleu, but, no...)
...i have not been to Austin in years, so i am thrilled to have been asked to play Paperboat Music's showcase at the Hideout Cafe (617 Congress Ave.) on Saturday March 20th at 3pm. i go on after John friggin' Doe of X (actually the 2nd time i've played with him) and after my set i'm gonna run upsatirs to watch Madi Diaz play...pretty psyched...
...i'll be in Austin friday - monday, so if you're going, gimme a shout on twitter or facebook and hopefully i'll see yaz there! i may have a few other small appearances come through...i'll keep ya updated...

PLUS! i'm doing an EAST COAST TOUR starting March 25th in Raleigh North Carolina with a house/recording studio concert at Low Watt Studios...my tour is with another good pal o' mine...Scott Simons (you've heard me talk about him before)...we're playing these other cities: Atlanta, Philly, New York, Nashville, Morgantown West Virginia, DC, Boston and more...a few of these cities i have not been to in a while and i genuinely can't wait...for most of the shows i'll be playing with one of my best musician friends Joe Seiders (The Everyday Visuals/Juliana Hatfield, etc..)..he'll be joining on drums, background vox, accordion, etc....come on out and see us...we promise to keep the heckling between us to a minimum... ...m-f-in lastly...i've been workin' a bit with last year's top 10 American Idol finalist Megan Joy. she is one big-ball-of-afro-cute (amaZing voice..) and she's posted two songs we worked on together on her Facebook & MySpace ..."Boy Next Door" & "I'm Not Tryin' To Hear That" ...take a listen...they're pretty frackin' fun in my opinion...let me know whatcha think...
